HI Bert,

Of course, it makes sense, Elizabeth Lloyd married Arthur Redman.
She was living with her daughter.
I think it was the Miss Nancy Redman that threw me.
The other is that I have an Arthur Redman dying in 1979 who lived at 55 Beaverbrook. I believe I have the wrong Arthur and will see if I can find an Arthur Redman dying prior to 1945.
OR, they were separated.

I have no idea who William G Jones is. Do you?

The problem with Electoral registers, it doesn't prove relationships,

I'll look to see who William G Jones was, prior to Irene marrying she was here,

Electoral Rolls,

Irene Redman

Irene Redman

Just thinking in 1970 a William G Jones appears with Irene Redman Jones on the electoral lists.
She was married in 1955
What is the voting age in England? Presumption is that it is not 15, which would eliminate him as a son.

I know it is witchcraft but my autosomal DNA shows numerous Jones as 2nd to 4th cousins. I am slowly working my way through each one looking for common names.
A group are an X match (maternal) so I am very interested in those.

Cheers

Probate for Richard Francis Jones, still at Yew Tree Close, 1988,

I'm now suspicious who the Jones's were at Winskill Rd 1970, coincidence perhaps?

That's the problem, on Electoral Rolls it could be anyone and not always related, as long as they live there and are of voting age.

"United Kingdom. The Representation of the People Act 1969 lowered the voting age from 21 to 18, with effect from 1970 and remained in force until the Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013 which allowed 16 year olds to vote for the first time, but only in Scotland and only in that particular referendum."

Lois,

I wasn't happy associating the nickname Nancy with Elizabeth, It's more likely to be associated with variations of Ann.

Annie Redman, born 1922,June Qtr, Liverpool, mothers maiden name, Lloyd.

She doesn't appear on the 39 register with Arthur and Elizabeth because of redaction.

She can't appear on any Electoral register until after her 21st birthday.

A possible marriage,

Reginald J Roberts
Annie Redman
1943, Liverpool N. 8b 748

Annie Redman's birth was registered June Qtr, 1922.

Possible death,

Nancy Ann Roberts,
Birth, 29 April, 1922,
Death, August 1994.

Need to find Annie Redman's exact date of birth.

Returning to the letter, it must have been written between 1940 and 1943.

The Pickworth's were still living at 59 Winskill Rd, 1939/40 and Annie married in 1943 so no longer a Miss.

it also give an approximate date when the Redman's moved to Winskill Rd.

A death to consider, as he wasn't with Elizabeth, 1945 Electoral roll.

Arthur Redman, 1940, Birkenhead, aged 54, giving birth date, 1886.

Again Bert, I am amazed and forever thankful!
We found only two children from Arthur and Elizabeth. You have given us 6.
This is wonderful with so many leads.
I appreciate your tenacity and willingness to help me out.
You have no idea what this means. My cousin and I always thought Arthur Redman never came to Canada because he died in England.
This was the only answer since grandma said she was older than Arthur and all the siblings came as home children. Now we find an entire family.
You are one in a million!

Hi Bert,

I have found a living (I think) of Arthur Redman and Anne Whiteside.
****** in North Liverpool to Redman and Whiteside.
IN 2002 to 2005, Arthur, Anne and Adele were all living in Liverpool, Merseyside
In 2011-2012, it was only Arthur and Anne. Arthur died in 2012.

IS there anyway I can find this person? I tried Facebook to no luck. Marriage records are only before 2003.

I do not mind the footwork but would appreciate knowing where to look.

Cheers
Lois

Lois,

are you thinking that Arthur who died in 2012 is a descendant of Arthur Redman & Elizabeth Lloyd?

Arthur who died 2012 has a birth date 14 Dec, 1942, mothers maiden name Lloyd.

Likely parents, Arthur Redman & Mary T Lloyd, married , Liverpool, Dec Qtr, 1941, 8b 933.

Edited, line removed, wrong info.........................................

Hi Bert,
Arthur Redman 1914-1979 & Mary Teresa Lloyd 1917-2004.
They married in Oct 1941 and Arthur would have been 24.
Arthur Redman 1941-2012 & Anne Whiteside in 1964 in Liverpool, North. Confirmed UK marriage registration.
He would have been 22 when married.

The funeral notice is from Anne (wife) Paul and Adele (Children),
The first remembrance is from cousins: Lena, John, John and Tommy.

I think we are OK with this group.
Another great find. :)

Lois
