Hi Mark, must have missed it previously about the kiddies being in and out of Fazakerley Cottage Homes.
I don't know how you fill in a third party form, someone in the forum is sure to know.
She may not have needed a passport if she went with other kiddies overseas, some sort of bulk visa?
Yes she could have been given a new surname and even first name, who knows?

Mark, the wives you listed for the Shalliker boys could be nicknames.
I've found Frederick in electoral rolls, he's a wicker worker wife is Catherine Elizabeth (Kitty?)
Gaffney St, Coburg Vic (8k's n of Melb) 1931 census.
Ditto 1942

I would send a covering letter with the third party form explaining what you know, why you are trying to find out about her and her birth certificate or definite evidence of her date of birth. If she is still alive she would be 99 so it is likely she has died but of course not improbable that she is still living.
Get someone to check the letter to make sure it covers what you want and is spelt, punctuated and has some capital letters!!!
They may be prepared to allow you the information.
thanks for that hilary after reading your reply i phoned liverpool research library and spoke to Roger Hull he s fine with sending info from fazakerley cott homes but theres no case history just records of who brought them and took them and next of kin just seems jessie shalliker 1913 have vanished off the face of the planet there seems to be a whole host in australia and some here in liverpool still but not jessie thanks again for your info really appreciate the help mark ...

Hi Mark,
With the absence of Jessie from both the death and marriage indexes [including WW2 deaths] up to 2005 and the Outgoing Passenger Lists up to 1960, I would have a look at the Electoral Rolls from 2000 to 2012. While she may have emigrated after 1960, there's a possibility she was still alive up to 2005 and still in the UK. http://tracegenie.com/ will give you a full 24 hours continuous access for just £3.50.
EDIT TO ADD: 'continuous access' means don't log off from the site once you have started. If you do you lose the rest of your 24 hours!

hi thanks for that the story was she was sent to oz for pinching a hinge but theres no trace anywhere thanks for the tip will try that appreciated mark

While 'child transportation' had ended almost a century earlier there is the possibility that if she was a 'difficult' child persistently in trouble the authorities got fed up and included her in a group of children being sent to a "better life" in Australia. In addition to the infamous THE BRITISH CHILD EMIGRATION SCHEME TO CANADA (1870-1957) children were also sent to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

thanks its my first one really used to get the eye bit colour pattens but not migraine like that it was evil had MRI today and bsd head again thanks for your input and time jessie is a mystery funny cart think how to spell either lol mark...
In 1929 the school leaving age was 14 so my guess is that when Jessie left the homes she went into employment. Homes tended to find their children employment and often that was younger than 15/16.
Maybe she changed her name and got married using a different name. She could perhaps have gone to the Isle of Man and would only show in their records. If she was sent elsewhere or chose to go elsewhere she would appear in the passenger lists either leaving the country or entering another country such as Australia.
