Patricks fathers name - John McMorrow, (fits in with George E. Morrow), and his mother Susan but can't quite work out her maiden name, think it definitely begins with an S, they were married in Laurieston which is basically the same area as Tradeston near the Gorbals.

I paid for the image and saved it to my family tree folder on my bookmarks bar but now it's not letting me access it!

It should be still on Scots People in saved images or saved searches, I think you will have to capture the image and save to your computer, My Pictures or similar.

Graces' parents are who I thought they would be, John Carruthers & Helen Glover.

Patrick's mother possibly, Sawer, not certain though.

So his father is John McMorrow and it looks like his mother is Susan with her surname possibly starting with S. I've searched Ancestry, Findmypast and Scotland's People using a multitude of info but coming up blank, as I said before the habit back then of people giving false ages doesn't help!

Yes John Carruthers and Helen Glover are a cert and it was very easy to put their family together with your help, but who knows where Patrick was before 1871 which is the earliest I can find him.

Me neither, someone has suggested Somers but my wife thinks the 2nd letter is C, I'm unconvinced though. Still trying to sort Peter/Patrick out, the ages I have for him in census takings are 26 in 1871, (as Patrick Menor), 49 in 1881, 50 in 1891, 54 in 1901 and 69 in 1911

Try phoning Scotland's People. I have found them very helpful. They might look on the original for you. Worth a try,
