Richard Brown WOOLFALL from Liverpool
Hi,
I have Richard Brown Woolfall in my tree although he's not a direct ancestor. I too have checked the GRO index for his death but can only find the one mentioned earlier with the wrong age.
If you want any info re his ancestry let me know and I'll see what I've got.
The Woolfall tree I have was put together by,appropriately, a chap called Richard Woolfall who lived in Essex. Unfortunately he died a couple of years ago, but he was very thorough in his research.

Hi
Do you have the burial details for his father? According to Liverpool Ancestors site he is buried at Anfield. It looks like Richard's sister Lillian
and her husband may be buried there too as the other names on the burial are Banks and Johnston. Lillian married a Banks...
Marriage
Lilian Woolfall
Gender: Female
Birth Date: abt 1894
Age: 27
Father's Name: George Brown Woolfall
Spouse's Name: Edward May Banks
Spouse's Age: 26
Spouse's Father's Name: John Banks
Marriage Date: 3 Sep 1921
Marriage Place: Edge Hill, Lancashire, England
I know it's probably unlikely but could George and or Martha be buried there too

Re: Richard Brown WOOLFALL from Liverpool
This a very old thread, so I don't know if anyone will read this, but it's worth a try!
Richard Brown Woolfall was my grandfather (my mother's dad). It was really interesting to read all the speculation in this thread about him emigrating and so on! I'm afraid the truth is rather less interesting than that. He died on the Isle of Man, where he and his wife moved in their later years. His wife--my grandmother--died a year or so before him, if I remember correctly. Both were long gone when I was born (1965), so I didn't know either of them, and couldn't tell you off the top of my head what year he died. I can find out, though: my mother is still alive (she's nearly 91!), and I can ask her when I visit her in a couple of days' time. It's possible that she has his death certificate: if she does, I could scan it and post it.
As mentioned in the thread, Richard had three children with his second wife. George (the youngest) is mentioned in the thread: as he emigrated to Australia, I am guessing he was your friend's grandfather. The eldest child was Marion, who was the first to die (I'm guessing around 30 years ago now). The middle child, my mother, is Rhona, the only one who still survives.

Re: Richard Brown WOOLFALL from Liverpool
My, that was quick! I don't think I had appreciated it was as late as 1960, but it was before my time (and before that of the brother immediately older than me too). I hope the person who made the original post sees this. I'll ask my mother on Sunday whether she has the death certificate.

Indeed, yes. Somewhere I have a photograph of me standing next to the joint grave in Patrick.
