No reply from Joe yet but I'm forging ahead on the off-chance that a digital CD will be of interest in your shop .... each individual sheet takes 4-5 hours for stage 1 (scanning and making readable) and I'm hoping to be able to be able to convert them all to pdf format at the end (that will be stage 2).
A very time consuming exercise so it's no wonder it's soooo expensive to have done commercially !

No problem, I have found the two entries I was searching for (there might be others) and I just though that as I like messing with computers and St Thomas has never been put on CD, it would (a) be a nice project to get my teeth into and (b) you could sell them in your shop as it might be useful to others :)

It's slow going but I am getting there. A home flatbed scanner is not designed for doing this but the end results are readable so it's definitely worth continuing with the project.

The kind gentleman at St Thomas kindly took photographs of two headstones for me as promised - one of which is now face down on the ground. This highlights the importance of the work undertaken by your group back in 1987 - were it not for all their hard work and dedication, the inscription would have been lost (possibly) for ever .... Well done and a big thank you.

And well done to that volunteer for your photographs - one of those Random Acts of Kindness and a case of Pass it Forward, that sort of generous act always comes back good.
