There's a marriage in 1901 for an Ambrose Hazlehurst
to Elizabeth Phillis Helme, aka Phillis Elzbth Helme, Victoria Aus (first wife??)
1924 electoral roll Ambrose cook 440 Wellington St
Clifton Hill
Clara Sophia home duties.
Ditto 1937.
(I think Phillis as Haz married someone else in 1909 put this on the backburner)
1954 Clara same address on her own.
Death 1957 father Rich Tretheway mother Rhoda Chessell
Kew Victoria aged 76yrs

Thank you, thank you, thank you Kenneth and especially Tina. You're right, Mary, I can't believe that last week I knew nothing about my great grandmother's family and now they've sprung to life! This time last week I didn't even know Percy existed. I'm so pleased Effie married, I've always wondered about her. I'm going to go and digest all this info and add it to the family tree.
Just to let you know that the weather here in France is a bit unsettled with not too much rain and warm - perfect growing weather, especially for the weeds. Hoping for more settled times as we've got two lots of visitors in the next ten days.
