Re: Charles Tucker
The marriage of Charles Tucker and Adelaide Savage took place in St John the Evangelist, Walworth, Southwark, London on 4th April, 1880.
Both were of full age, Bachelor and Spinster and his occupation was Carman
His address was ? Sash Street and hers was 15 King & Queen Street
His Father was John Tucker, Hatter and hers was Robert Savage, Fold? Beater
Sorry the writing isn't very clear
Both signed their names
Witnesses were John Mc????? and Mary Ann Jaggers
Where do you expect they lived after their marriage? are we looking at London or did they come to Liverpool?

Re: Charles Tucker
When Adelaide Tucker married John Woodhouse in Q1 1908 the marriage again took place in London Mile End 1c 489.
Was she in Liverpool at all and were any of the children we are looking for born in Liverpool?

Re: Charles Tucker
Just poking my nose in here to ask if this is the same John Woodhouse, ex-Royal Marine, bn abt 1873/4 in London who married Florence Johnson of Blackburn. He is involved in another thread by Brisam.MaryA wrote:When Adelaide Tucker married John Woodhouse in Q1 1908 the marriage again took place in London Mile End 1c 489.

I had found John Woodhouse and spouse Adelaide in the last census when trying to find out what had happened to him after discharge in 1904 and the birth of his apparent daughter Amelia Johnson Woodhouse in 1905. In that census he accidentally completed the section for number of children from 'his marriage' and entered 3, all still alive. That entry is crossed out by the enumerator and as there are no children from his union with Adelaide the 3 must refer to a previous marriage, perhaps that to [Mary] Florence Johnson in 1899 to which 3 children were registered.
Adelaide Woodhouse has 5 children from a previous marriage still with her in the last census, all born London.

Re: Charles Tucker
Confusion reigns, my head is now spinning.
I did believe it to be the same person and checked David Hambley's previous post with the title of John Woodhouse
http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... =2&t=12068
but didn't think of Brisam's post
http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... =2&t=12097
Are these lines of research linked or do we have duplications?
