Deed on File Ford RC Cemetery

Post by abyrne4466 »

My great grandmother Bridget O'Malley died 1915 and is buried private grave H508 Ford cemetery, Deed on file 08 Apr 1989 owner Durkin, Mr Patrick. How do I obtain a copy of the front and back of that deed. I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. I couldn't find an answer using the search.

This information has presumably come from the Rootsweb "Deeds on File" site http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.anc ... deeds.html
Have you tried contacting them to ask where they got their information from?

If the documents are held anywhere they will be in one of two places - either at Ford Cemetery itself or at the Liverpool Record Office, you will need to check if they are on microfilm and held at the temporary site, World Museum or in document form and at the Satellite facility at Sandhills. Read about this here http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... =23&t=9679

The deed may also be held by the family of the owner of the grave.

Thank you. Well I do have Bridget's death certificate and indeed it says she was 51 which would put her birth around 1864. That may or may not be true however. I have sent for a copy of her marriage record to see if there is any additional information not on the transcription. The transcription says when she married William O'Malley in 22 Feb 1883 that she was 24 which would put her birth around 1859. William died 1897 and Bridget remarried Michael O'Malley 1898. He was younger so perhaps she shaved a few years off then and continued to give the younger age from then on.
