New to the forum, I ask a question which may already have been asked and answered.

I am trying to find a schoolmate. John Baron Walmsley will now be 70 or 71yrs if he is still alive. He left Accrington Grammar School with me in 1958. It is thought that he may have joined the Merchant Navy. I cannot find him using conventional means, so wonder if there are any records, on line or off, which will confirm that suspicion, and hopefully give me a clue as to his whereabouts. In Liverpool, there are likely to be people who are knowledgeable in Merchant Navy matters.I would like to hear from them.

As a genealogy site we don't publicly post information about possible living people, however some of our members I'm sure will be willing to help if they are able and will likely make contact if they can.
