Is anybody related to Thomas ( circa 1812 ) + Frances Cunningham
( Circa 1820 ) ( Maiden name unknown )
They had 9 children, Janet, Frances, Jane, Mary, Ada, William, Edith, + Emily.
I am interested in the son William, born circa 1855
I can find him on the 1861 + 1871 Census, but not 1881 onwards.
I believe him to be my Gt Grandfather, William Cummings.
Does anybody know of this Cunningham Family and what happened to William

Could you post the 1861 and 1871 census entries. In 1861 I think he was at Marine Terrace in Crosby with parents and siblings. The family appear well do father listed as merchant and onwer of ship on one census and fundholder on another.
Also why do you think he is your William Cummings?

I have Henry's Birth Cert ( Beatrice's brother / My Grandfather )
One of 10 Children.
Father William Cummings, Mother Eizabeth Giles ( I have Marriage Cert )
Williams father is Thomas a Ships Stower ( stoker ? )
William born circa 1855 ? Liverpool ?
William Married 1897 in Plymouth to Eliz Giles
Married as a seaman ( fisherman )
William Died 1927, 71 yrs, witnessed by Henry my grandfather
Died as Coal Merchant + Naval Pensioner
William is on Plymouth Census 1881 to 1911, but not 1861 or 1871
Cannot find William in Liverpool 1861 or 1871
Cannot get Birth cert from GRO
Possibly mis spelt Cummings, as with my Gr Uncle Stanley Frederick Cummings ( Beatrice's brother ) - Registered Birth as Cumming, and on Army records as Comings
William Cunningham does not appear on 1881 Census
