I was hoping someone could help me. i have been doing my family tree for a few years now and there is one bit of info that i have not been able to find and that is the burial place of my great great grandmother Mary Doran nee Ward.
She was born 1883 in Liverpool and died about 1922 now i have looked in Toxteth Cemetery as she lived in Star Street in Toxteth but she is no were to be found. Her husband George died in 1929 and he is buried in Toxteth but in a public grave. all the rest of the Dorans are buried in Toxteth but not Mary now she was catholic but her husband and his family were not. I dont know if this would mean that she would be buried anywere else.
If you have her exact date of death Allerton Cemetery Lodge may give you the grave details 0151 233 3004, this is Liverpool Council who take the details and pass them on, don't forget to give your email address since they will send you the plan of graves if you ask.
Assuming your estimate of date of birth and death are correct this looks like the entry
Mary Doran Q2 1922 Toxteth Park 8b 230
With this information you can order the death certificate online at www.gro.gov.uk - it costs £9.25.
If you thought that she may have been buried in an RC cemetery, there is a set of microfiches in the Liverpool Record Office (temporarily in the Museum next door) that has the burials for the three, Ford, Yew Tree and Ainsdale.
