Mary Thank you very much for the web sites. They are very interesting and informative.
The Williams house in Nesfield St., was in the left hand corner of Stanley Park in between Walton road and Walton Breck Lane on the map

"All members need to be aware that offering look ups from copyright protected material is in direct contravention of the copyright law."

This would be the unmentionable, I take it.
Does that include passing on any information that we have found from the internet, i.e Latter day Saints, BMD records and census?

It is quite possible that Eva Peers was given up for adoption, even though she had a place in the Williams' home. Not a pleasant thought.
We will never know the reason, but I will be charitable and say that they were doing it for what they thought the best.

Hi Jim :)
I'ts only the census 1910-1912 which has the copyright stipulation.
Okies with other sites.
Good find D.S
You have to believe the family thought Eva was going onto a wonderful new life in Canada, like many others did.
I keep the following in my faves, it's staggering, the amount of children still unclaimed. Eva listed as claimed.
I can't find her as Peers in the incoming passenger lists back to Lpl.

Hi Jim,
RE:

As Tina says, information from all the sites with the exception of the Findmypast census between 1910 and 1912 can be distributed freely. FMP have strict rules in their subscription T&Cs which expressly forbids look-ups of that census on behalf of 3rd parties. Anyone found doing it will have their sub cancelled.

Because FMP actively look for publication of such look-ups and mentions of the census [ie even the year 19XX] we have to be somewhat oblique with our references. Since the company that owns FMP also owns GeneReUnited the same applies to the census available there. I suspect that because they also own Scotlands People the same rule will apply when the Scotland 19XX census is released, I believe in 1912.

Just a thought though, since the National Archives have the 19XX census up for inspection on a pay-with-credits basis, does the same restriction apply? I think it may well do because this is in their T&Cs:
10.4 You agree not to use or allow the Services to be used for or by any third party to access, or view any Records or download any material or content of any Records, whether on a paid or gratis basis.

A couple of words spring to mind..... Keep sshtumm!

Hello Tina and Dickiesam
Thank you for the explanation on copyright. I was beginning to wonder how many rules I had broken

Wink Wink Nod Nod
Looking back at the postings I see a census date has been changed to about.
A bit slow on the uptake, but I usually get there in the end.
Thanks once again for all who have contributed. I don't know how you keep up the enthusiasm in answering other people and their problems, but I for one have the greatest admiration for your dedication
Thank you
