Edward Whittaker and Mary Campbell married December qtr 1896 West Derby 8B 280
Again the marriage is on www.lancashirebmd.org.uk but but was a Registry Office/Registrar attended
The free1911 index shows an Alfred Whittaker b 1904 and there is an Edward Whittaker in the same household
The 1911 is strictly pay per view so you would need to buy credits to view the full entry
I cannot find Edward on the 1901 census at the moment

Maggie has sent me a pm to say she does have a copy of the 1896 marriage cert
Edward was 19 and his father was Thomas
Mary was 17 and her father was John
I have given her the link to the 1881 census and there is an Edward b 1877 Liverpool with a father Thomas but he is the only one that matches the profile
Maggie
You need to look at that entry and compare Thomas's occupation on the 1896 marriage cert (if shown as he was deceased) You also need to look at the witnesses names to see if either was a Whittaker
There is a Thomas Whittaker death in 1889 which would fit his age

I wish we had something like this in Dorset, I feel I need a One to One

love and light to you all Maggie xx
Hi Maggie
Freebmd has too many Robert Lawson births to know which is the right entry so you would need to buy a copy of the Lawson/Jarman marriage cert to establish his birthyear and his fathers name
All the info I have posted was obtained from the internetI wish we had something like this in Dorset, I feel I need a One to One

Using only the free 1911 index - I located Edward Whittaker aged 34 living in Liverpool Lancashire
There are a number of other Edward Whittakers on the index but living in other areas of Lancashire including West Derby
If you use the instructions below - you will find all family members. Ignore the index entries living in the West Derby district and only use the ones living in Liverpool district
USING THE FREE 1911 INDEX TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT HOUSEHOLD
http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx
Once you find a possible match - make a note of the county and district in which the person was living
Return to the index and in PERSONAL DETAILS - just put the surname of the family - nothing else
In LOCATION - Select the county and below it - type in the district
In OTHER MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD - show the full name of the person you have found on the index
Click SEARCH
You will have to buy credits to view the full entry - the above instructions will only help to possibly show others of the same name in the same household

Hi Maggie
Can I suggest that you print off all my replies and then get the info down on a software programme that will let you determine what other info you may need to fill in any gaps
I could go further back with these families but I don't want to overwhelm you with a stack of info and leave you with a problem trying to sort it all out
Gently does it as we say!!
