Any members researching the surname Bickerstaff in Liverpool for the period ~ 1800-1880 ? I have three members of the Dale family marrying three Bickerstaffs.

Aaarrggh ...no replies only me...
Would the 3 x 3 be in Lancs BMD between 1851 & 54? in Lpool
I thought they'd have married in Bickerstaff nr Ormskirk
I presume you have all the births/census info and that you would like to connect to someone who has these people in their tree?

Is it just that you want to connect with family members, or do you want some help with your research? If it's the latter, perhaps you'd like to tell us what you have and how we can try to help.

Many thanks to all that repiled ! I am looking to add to the specific knowledge base here and share with others. I have all the BMD certificates for the Dale participants and references from the Liverpool Mercury to punctuate the timeline.

I`m trying to account for the Bickerstaffs in the early years (up to and inclusing the 1841 census).
Another pair of eyes for William Tate Bickerstaff + Jesse Bickerstaff (nee Dale) in the 1871 census would be great, I can`t find them but there may be a transcription/spelling error in the datadbase.

Here is the raw data for the 1841 census search :
Head = William Bickerstaff
(Mother =Elizabeth Bickerstaff (nee Tate) d 1834 thus absent from census)
Elizabeth Bickerstaff b 1826
Alice Bickerstaff b 1827
William Bickerstaff b1829
Margaret Bickerstaff b 1830
Eliza Ann Bickerstaff b 1832

Any assistance greatly appreciated

I think there may be a little confusion as to what you are looking for, no points of reference. Dates and places of birth are essential so it's easier to start from a known quantity.

I hope I have this correct, as it's a bit of a guess

1851
10 Shannon Street, Mount Pleasant, LIverpool
John Rogers Head M 28 Painter Cheshire Chester
Alice Wife M 23 Lancashire Liverpool
Margaret Ann Bickerstaff Sister in Law Un 20 Milliner " "
Elizabeth Ann Bickerstaff " " 18 " " "
HO107; Piece: 2183; Folio: 275; Page: 80

and you are looking for them in 1841?

Yes this the correct family for 1871, thank you ! I have been trying multiple permutations of spellings and searching specific streets previously with no success.

What happens after cortisol activates transcription? I am trying to understand this diagram in my book and it goes through the steps of cortisol going through the plasma membrane and into the nucleus and then activating transcription, but then doesn't say why it does that. If anyone knows please help.... :) THank you.

Not Bickerstaff related !

I recall that glucocorticoids inhibit transcription of IGF-I via CAAT/enhancer protein transcription factors but this has nothing to do with the original post. Good luck with your studies.

My Bickerstaff research has evolved over the last few months with new data. Glad to share with any other interested researchers.

I am wondering if shahari is mistaking "genealogy" for "genes" research?

DrD seems like your occupation could have been of help there

I hope some Bickerstaff descendants make contact.
