Hi all
If these records are still there and have not been moved and if anyone is going in the very near future i would appreciate these two lookups
MARY MERRICK -JOHN WILKINSON ST ANTHONY'S SCOTLAND RD MARCH 1869.
ELIZABETH MERRIN -SAMUEL CUMMINGS ST MARY'S KIRKDALE DEC 1875
I am thinking the MERRIN should be MERRICK and its been transcribed wrong and that these two ladies were sisters.
Thank you xxxxxxxxxxxx

MERRICK and MERRIN
Hi ColB,
I've looked at the actual GRO Marriage Index pages on a couple of sources and the names are Merrick and Merrin. So it must be a local, like Registrar, error if the ladies are indeed sisters.

Hi Col,
I know what you mean, I was getting confused with the names myself.
I wonder if the marriage for Wilkinson and Merrick was ordered from the Liverpool Roman Catholic marriages website, a better image of it will come out other than on the microfilm.
1869 434 ST ANTHONY MARY MARIAM MERRICK JOHN JOANNEM WILKINSON REQUEST FORM
I am thinking that maybe Elizabeth wasn't a widow and it was a mistake for Spinster, I haven't been able to find a marriage either. Strange her father being Charles Merrick and she signed the register with X.
Hmmm the mind boggles.

Merrick
Hi
the only two possible Merrin men were John Merrin born c 1832 Lpool & brother James Merrin born c 1838 Lpool.. parents James Merrin & Ann Evans.. in 1851 they are with granny Sarah Eveans on Moorfields shes a Shopkeeper.. after that i lose track of these two lads..
Cannot find a Merrin/Merrick/Meyrick marriage on all the sites we use..but no gonna get too worried about that, at least i have the father Charles Meyrick..
Prob now is cannot finmd Mary who should be Wilkinson in 1871 or Elizabeth who could be Merrin or Merrick in 1871.
Havent a clue of birth place or birth year for John Wilkinson or an occupation, but have a fathers name now Thomas so thats something..i guess..
Wondering Jan could the James who was witness to Elizabeth & Samuel's marriage have beem James Mutch ???

Merrick
Hi
I found Elizabeth Merrick in 1871 at Bankhall St Kirkdale with her uncle James Mutch and his wife Ann..she was still Merrick so her marriage to Mr Merrin has to be after the census and before 1875 as she marries Samuel Cummings in 1875 as Merrin..
Elizabeth's surname was transcribed as Murriel so its a wonder i found her at all..
There is a John & Mary Wilkinson in Brasenose Rd around the corner from Bankhall St in 1871 both aged 27, John was a Sawyer born Bentham Yorkshire no kids..cannot seem to track him in 1861 or beyond.
