Help needed Millitary Funeral in Shankey

I am trying to find a obit, for a Capt Nicholas Mulcahy he died 3Q 1953 in Newton, and had a Millitary funeral in Shankey, can anyone help please.

Unfortunately it's too recent for any newspapers to be found online for this event. There is a list of various holdings at local libraries posted here http://liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/phpBB ... php?t=8300 I wonder if there could have been an entry in the St Helens & District Gazette as they have copies between 1952 and June 1954.

Failing that I'm afraid I think you would have to contact Warrington library to see what they have, or anywhere they can recommend you enquire.

I have allready looked in the St Helens newspapers nothing found he was Living in St helens up to six weeks before his death.
I will try the Warrington Library.

You could try the Prescot Reporter loads of funeral reports in there for St Helens and district
