How long are certificates taking from Liverpool Reg Office

Has anyone ordered a certificate recently from Liverpool register Office? If so how long did it take? Trying to decide whether that would be quicker than the GRO at the moment.

I ordered a certificate from GRO on 3rd of this month.........still waiting for it's arrival !!!

Also I phoned the Council to enquire about the location of a grave and the recorded message told me the price was £9 - I think you have mentioned this before, but just a reminder for anybody reading this.

Not sure how long they are taking from LRO, but I had to return my 2 certs that were wrong for them to refund my money. I sent them back on the 13th Apr, but so far not heard from them!!

I ordered 2 certs from GRO on 23rd Apr, despatch date 30th Apr.
However on GRO's blurb it says expect to add 5 -10 working days to the date, but also " we anticipate that normal service will be resumed by the week beginning 17th May"

We shall see

I often wonder if the staff at Liverpool Reg Office know where to look for things, a friend of mine ordered a death cert some time ago from there, he then got a letter from them telling him they couldn't find it, the death had been registered at Crosby reg office so he would have to apply there for it, they gave him the GRO vol and page number and his money back, but when I checked the vol and page number it was totally wrong and the vol and page number were for somewhere totally different like Hereford or somewhere!! Good job I checked with the GRO ref numbers otherwise he would have ordered the wrong cert through no fault of his own.
