Veronica Higgins
Dear Mary,Greetings & many thanks for your interest!
I had to start all over again as I couldn't recall where I got the name from!
All I did was confirm all that you had found without a Veronica Higgins born of a Rose A. Walker
Rose A Walker did marry John Higgins 4th Qtr 1938
Rather flumixed by all of this I had another go at a relative of this Walker branch. Now the truth comes out..... and I don't know why she didn't tell me all of this...
Rose, had one child named Veronica, who was illegitimate with no fathers name on the birth certificate. Veronica had been born during WWII,
most likely in the Bootle area and later moved to Southport.
The matter was not generally mentioned in the Walker family, you know how we were in them there days!
I have tried a search looking at Higgins & Walker births without any success.1938-1946
Is there any way to find out about births of illegitimate children?

As stated on your original message, this lady may still be living and we don't post information about living people on this messageboard.
Try searching for the lady under her mother's maiden name as that is likely to be what she was registered under if she was illegitimate.

It was decided a long time ago that in this day and age of identity theft most genealogy sites do not post details of living people.
The consensus of opinion on this site has been that we wouldn't like our details found on a public forum.
As there are other specific places for this kind of search, and we are more interested in earlier generations, that this forum would respect the privacy of living people.
