cemetry listings?

Post by nicke20 »

You will all know of it but i stumbled on the toxteth park cemetry website and listings, I think i found about 12 entries that related to my tree (so far)
is there anything similar for west derby?
or if I had to find a grave that i know is there is there an easy way of doing it?

Hi Nick,

There is a website for West Derby Cem, but nothing like the Toxteth cem one. There is a contact link on the site, if you know the details of the burial perhaps if you contact the person, they may go to the cem for you and have a look and see if there is a headsone and maybe get a photo for you.

Hi Nicke20, I went to W.D for the first time on Saturday for a look for Grandma - like yourself I don't have a plot number so it was a case of just strolling around the appropriate section. Weather took a turn for the worse so I abandoned my mission! On the bright side the graveyard isnt too big (big enough but not massive like Allerton) on the down side it's not very well maintained and lots of headstones are lying flat which is difficult to read and the numbering system doesnt seem to be very numerical! Other than that - Good Luck !! Holly
