Kiosk By Aintree Station
Kiosk
Hi
I have this photo and all it says on the back is Madge in the shop 1949..then written in a different colour ink is Aintree 4963 which is a phone number..
The photo was my Grandmothers who lived in Bootle.. but i havent a clue who Madge is..there is one other photo of Madge and a lady named Mary in 1940s on a night out..i thought maybe they worked with my Gran at Whitbreads bottle factory.. but it looks like Madge ran thei Kiosk..but where i am not sure..maybe the Aintree is a red herring and was written on the photo later..we have a couple of Kiosks i knew of in Bootle by Bankhall Station and Balliol Rd, it could be one of those...Its a great nostalgic photo..and its definatly a kiosk as i can see the pavement at the bottom which i never quiet got on this version of the photo as i had to take a digital image with my camera i dont have a scanner ...
