I've recently learned that my grandmother - who I'd always assumed to be an only child - actually had a younger sister!
Unfortunately I don't have access to the 1911 census ... so I'm hoping that someone on the forum would be kind enough to do a look-up for me

The family name is Kelly.
The head-of-family was George Thomas Kelly: born abt 1875
My grandmother was Amy Frances Kelly: d.o.d 9 June 1898
Her sister was called Ethel and was born abt 1903
(The mother of the children, Amy Kelly (nee Anderton) had died aged 28 abt. 1905.)
I guess there may have been someone else in the household who would have helped George T Kelly to care for his young daughters.
The other issue I have is ... although my grandmother had a number of family photos, her sister doesn't appear on any of them. And she certainly doesn't appear in my parents wedding photos in 1947. Somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind I remember my grandmother having a relative in New Zealand ... so I'm wondering whether this could have been her sister, Ethel. As I only know Ethel's maiden name and year of birth, can anyone suggest how I can find out more about her, and whether she did in fact emigrate to NZ?
Bestest,
Paula.
Just a quick edit to say that the lady in my profile pic is my great-grandmother - Ethel Kelly's mother!
