Kitty Wilkinson
Kitty Wilkinson
I was researching Denison Street where my Irish born ancestors the Holland family where living around 1880 onwards and discovered that Kitty Wilkinson lived and worked there some 50 years earlier. I didn't know it played such an important role in Kitty Wilkinson's story:-

And she was buried in St James Cemetery, and if you've never walked through there it's not to be missed.

I haven't made much progress with the Holland family I mentioned in my first post on this thread. Still nothing pre- 1880 when they appear in Liverpool. I did however make contact with a distant relation on another website who is trying to find out, just like me, where in Ireland William John and Jane Holland came from. She had a maiden name for Jane of Brogan and some family folklore about them leaving Ireland for America but staying in Liverpool because Jane was too ill for the trip while having her first child.

Hi Col
If you haven't already done so, why not list Holland family as a new thread in Liverpool rather than tagging onto this one?
Everyone will see your post.
Just write as much as you know.
Best wishes
