Electoral Rolls

Hi,
Looking for info from the 1935/36 electoral rolls for 213 Fountains Road Kirkdale Liverpool. Does anyone have access to these records or can you point me in the right direction.

Have you tried the Liverpool Record Office? They have older Elecotral Registers there, so you never know.
As far as I know there is no online access, but it's easy to read what's available at the Record office, you just nead a readers ticket, which they will give you free when you first go there and ask to see the Registers.

I've 1938 Directory Gores/Kellys
213 Fountains Rd Kirkdale was
Ernest Reginald Bradley motorman
213a (perhaps premises above or down the back?)
Mrs Eliz. Lillian Evans ladies hairdresser.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I need to visit the central library to search the records. I was looking for confirmation that in 1935/6, Alfred Windle and Florence Murphy lived there and it is a help to know that in 1938, niether lived at that address ( thanks Tina ).

If you bear in mind that the information was probably collected over a year and then published at the end, it might confirm that they weren't there in 1937.

The Record Office might also have directories for most years.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for searching the electoral rolls. In 1935 Alfred John Windle died at 213 Fountains Road and the informant Florence Murphy also states this as her residence. I suppose I may have to look at all the 1930's entries. As no living relative knows of Alfred, I was hoping to find some info on the family of Florence Murphy and I am still searching for BMD records for her, but not a good name to research.

added how old was he on the death cert?

Just answered my own question he was 73 in 1935

Hi Tina,

Steven kindly looked at the electoral rolls and found there was no number 213 or 215 Fountains Rd, in the electoral rolls, between at least the 1934/35 & 1938/39 years.
