My first message
looking for anybody searching the Rowland\ Rowlands surname
the rowland family in my research is fron Cheshire starting with Edward Rowland born about 1762 marrid hannah griffies in 1784 pmy part of family moved to Liscard then to birkett St later Orewell Rd Kirkdale.
Looking for more information on the present day rowlands,edward my fathers brother lost all contsact with him lived in Sceptre Rd

Hi there and Welcome to the forum you will find lot's of help on here from some lovely folk. If you do a search on here for the Rowland name you will see a posting I put on a while ago searching for the Rowland family who had a number of pubs and the results, my second cousin is part of the Rowland family from the Wirral,Cheshire. If you have Ancestry access try putting in the surname and see what comes up. 1881 census is a freebie and given time we may be able to make a connection for you, I will check back what I have for you. cheers L.B

Another thought is if your are searching for present day Rowland family of Liverpool, try posting in the ex-pats or where are you now section of Liverpool Echo,which has often produced great results, also have a look at phone book for Merseyside which can be done online,

Are you researching the whole family from Edward and Hannah or hoping for contact with present day relatives?
