Receipted 25/6/1883.
I've saved a copy of it just incase it's the correct James as I don't know his age.
It was the only Guthrie listed regardless of first name.
The document doesn't say where the ship was at the time of death.

As you say its the only Guthrie in the list - he's at least 10 years younger than he should be comparing him with his census record in 1881- but his wife remarried 5 years later and I can find no evidence of his death at least in England.
