Says he and his parents were born in New Jersey??
Howeverm there seems to be a mix up with Martha's parents birthplaces also--so who knows??
Think Martha;s age might be a bit out too???
There was also this marriage
Nicholas Condon m Mary O'Conner 19 feb 1876 Escambia.
In the 1880 census Nicholas and Mary say they are from Ireland

Requesting Help on Search Thomas Condon
Hi Colette
Has your Queen Vic nose been twitching
There is a Thomas London in 1841 18yrs bn county in Tox Park with father Robert, sail maker.
In 1851 there is a Garrett London Tox Park whose name has been corrected by a subscriber to Condon.
Here's the refs
1841 HO 107/pce 568/Bk 19/folio 41 page 14
1851 HO107/2186/627/22
I looked for little Isabella from 1841 in 1851 also in BMD with no luck.
Tried a couple of others inc Robt & Thos in 1851.
It could be something or nothing, not sure.
Good luck Tom

The 1880 USA census record (Conlin) is indeed the correct family, but that Thomas' place of birth is listed as New Jersey is a mystery. All other census records indicate his place of birth as England and his tombstone states born in Liverpool. But I will take this New Jersey clue and see what I can find.
The other census records on his widow and family are the right ones, I have previously found these.
The London name corrected to Condon, is info I will tuck away to see if anything else connects.
I am now waiting to receive his 1867 marriage record from Escambia County Archives, to see if there are any other clues there.
With regard to Eccles Cakes, I learned of these many years ago from an English colleague visiting here in California. I subsequently had opportunities to visit England on business and sampled them in London. Since retiring, I have been active in family research, including my Eccles line. I have learned a lot about my Eccles family roots in Lancashire and Staffordshire, and how common a name Eccles is, especially in the northwest of England. The main branch of my Eccles family comes from the Fylde area, including Wrea Green, Little Plumpton, Lytham, and Kirkham.
Thanks and best regards,
Tom
Hi Tom
Thanks for lovely reply to everyone.
I've made my own Eccles Cakes downunder, I just can't get the sugar topping right. We had a school fete with an International Cake stall, an old chappy born Manchester bought all my cakes!
My bro called them fly pies.
I'm sure you are right about Lpool birth & not New Jersey etc.
Hang in there...
Warmies

I have made recent online search progress with US Military records, and just discovered that Thomas Condon served in the US Marine Corp starting in 1846 and ending in 1867. I am amazed to have learned that he served in the Civil War on several ships at sea and saw significant action with blockade runners along the southern Confederate coasts of the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. I am hoping to obtain copies of his military documents to see if there is any information on his place of birth, names of parents, etc. His military service ended the same year he married Martha Taylor in Pensacola, Florida and started as a civilian employee of the US Navy.
It will take some time to obtain copies of his military records from Washington, DC archives, but I am hopeful.
Best regards,
Tom
