1911 census Liverrpool ?

Post by lynne99 »

Hi, hope you all had a super restful Christmas and 2021 will be good to you.
I have a cou[le of FH problems. I will put them in separate posts.
My great grand uncle Alexander Fletcher b March 1858 Glasgow Scotland . He married Cecilia Miller in Liverpool 1880 and is with him with Alexander's father in 1881 census at 1 Grove Square, West Derby, also his brother William. By 1911 his brother had moved with his family to Por Sunlight, but I cannot find Alexander any where. He died 1923 in Southport, buried Toxteth. His address was still given as 11a, Mount Vernon Rd on burial as it was in 1901 census.
His first wife Cecilia died in 1882 leaving him with a small child Margaret b 1881. He married Elizabeth Alice Purcell in 1888 and was living at what I think is 9 Mount View north? with Elizabeth (Bessie) and children. 2990 folio 65 . His daughter Vera May b 1890 was an Officer at the Girl's Reformatory at Mt Vernon Green.
I would like to find his family in 1911. That would be very helpful, thank you
Lynne

Dreadful writing, bet you had to use an address search to find that Bert!

I knew you said that an address search could be used on 1881 and 1911, but I couldn't work out how to go it. I tried scrolling from Mt Vernon Sqr, but did not find it.
Thanks Sooo much. Next problem tomorrow.
Thanks again Lynne
PS writing must be a family thing. Should have all been doctors :D

Put it in the keyword box but don't include road or street in case the word had been abbreviated since it won't recognise it.
