I have been going through a number of Family Notices from the Liverpool Echo to confirm and find relations to my more recent ancestors.
In a number of these one of my ancestors has a wife who has the 'nickname' of Blon. Unfortunately, I don't know what 'original' forename Blon is used for (depsite a number of Google searches). Was this a 'nickname' particular to the Liverpool area?
There is a suggestion from another Family Notice that her original forename might have been Muriel -but I can't find any link between this and Blon.
Anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks in advance

Re: Who is Blon?
Steve,
If you fire up FreeBMD and enter Blon, forename, 1840-1950, all areas.
Many variations appear.
Do you have a surname?

Re: Who is Blon?
Never have heard of it, but if you could give us some details we could try to identify her from perhaps the children (GRO mmn etc.) and work backwards.

Many thanks for the suggestions. I have tried looking at marriages in the timeframe but nothing jumps out at me.
Unfortunately I do know they had children (typically with common forenames) but I have no years of birth to work with and I haven't been able to cross-reference forenames with mother's maiden names on them all yet.
