I'm sure this has been covered before but is there yet a map of Walton Cemetery?
I am hoping to locate a grave labelled 44Y. A very long shot, I know.
Walton Free Parochial Cemetery Rice Lane map?
Re: Walton Free Parochial Cemetery Rice Lane map?
Yes a very long shot, there is a map but not with plots on it since any original layouts were long lost in WWII bombing.
Please give the details of who is in the grave and the date and I'll try to get a little help to you, but no guarantees.

Re: Walton Free Parochial Cemetery Rice Lane map?
Unfortunately as you see from checking the page of the Burial, Grave 44Y is occupied by at least three others buried on the same day and if you were to check earlier pages then there are probably a number of others also, meaning that it was a general grave rather than a private paid for one and therefore there will be no chance of a headstone to find to be able to mark the spot.
As there are no proper maps the best guess that can be given to you for the place, based on the date would be to walk to the chapel (now a youth centre) and take the left path, you will need to go through two gates and after that there is very little definition but keep going until near the boundary and on the right is what is known as the Wild Flower Meadow. This is where the pre 1900 public area is.

I was aware it was a public grave but that is a big help.
