Hi all, hope everyone is staying healthy. I have been contacted by an Ancestry member with the following:

"In a tin of old photos that was my parents there was one that showed 3 children called the Casey’s and after a bit of searching found they were a family from New York and it turned out my father visited with them during the war as he was on the Atlantic run on an aircraft carrier as a signalman. One of the children Patsy kept her mother’s book in which she had recorded all the service men that stayed with them with name address next of kin and a photo which she has sent me to see if I can pass on this information.
This Johnny Davies parents address is Mrs. Ellen Davies, 110 Robsart Rd., Netherfield Rd. Everton, Liverpool, he is in the regular navy and about 20 (c1923), comes from a large family. He got into trouble and sent home on Phoebe and only came once.
Could this John/Johnny be connected to your tree as his parents seem to be John Davies and Ellen and a number of children. There is a photo of Johnny.
I hope you don’t mind me doing this but I am trying to find homes for these 150 service men and their photos in this book but some are not listed but their parent are.".

I do have this person in my tree, but he is a distant relative of a relative of a relative etc. I'm wondering if any of the members here are related and would like the picture when it is sent to me, or whether it could go in the next magazine?

I hope all her photographs find homes. True John, our future means of contact is going to be online and Journal so it will be really good if you could obtain an image and post it perhaps on here and our Facebook Group and send a copy with the story to the Editor. Good luck with this.
