Southport directory 1880-ish, look-up

Post by daggers »

If anyone could look in a Southport directory dated around 1880, could they please see if there is anything about a house at 34 Alexandra Road. A relative was born there in October that year, but it was not the family residence.
Many thanks,
Daggers

1911 census it's called Cliff House, 34 Alexandra rd. It appears to be a family residence.

Thanks to you both. What you tell me is probably enough. The birth was in October and perhaps the mother or couple took a late summer break.
I had wondered about a nursing home but it seems in error.
