!871 Census, Liverpool, Rodney Street

Post by daggers »

I have had information on a Henry Thomas, shipbroker, 27 Rodney Street Liverpool and his family from the 1871 census via Ancestry, but now cannot find it again. The image on FMP is very obscure, but does give me the detail: RG10, piece 3783, fo 142, p.12.
There should also be his wife Margaret, a couple of adult sons and a nephew also listed.
Can any of our resident sleuths find a better image, for full details, please?
Is there a search method on Anc for using the RG10 etc details as input?

The Ancestry image is very poor indeed (to search by piece, page and folio on Ancestry you need to choose the "1871 England census" option from the bottom of the 1871 UK census search page).

The Genealogist's image is better but only marginally better than Find My Past, and they haven't transcribed Henry, who lived at number 27.

Thanks very much for your efforts. I have a sub on The Gen.. but find it almost impossible to find anything I want there, and am not renewing. I have used the page details, folio etc to contact Anc, asking for their version of the family entry, so hope to get a better result.

Thanks for the link. That image was almost clear and better than the other two.
