Directory look-up, please, 1914-1918 period

Post by daggers »

If anyone has access to a Gore's or Kelly's directory for the period of WW1 could they please look up 271 Upper Parliament Street, which may be commercial or residential premises. It would help me to know who occupied there.
I am also looking for Albert Edward Harrison, who lived somewhere in that district. An address and occupation, if given, would be helpful.
Thank you.

271 is not listed in Gore's 1914.

Exors of Albert E Harrison are managing the chandlers shop in Wavertree Road.

Swift replies, thank you!
That Harrison can’t be the one I want, as mine was still around post WW1.

If 271 shows any connection with St. Nathaniel’s church at any date that would help. Is there a church hall listed in U Parly street?

Thanks, Lynn. The man I am interested in was associated with a cadet unit with links to a church in Upper Parliament Street, where he was a sideman. Your man is a bit too far away, but I will keep him on my list of possibles.
Thanks again
