Burial problem

Morning everyone. For many years I tried to research my family, got quite a bit of info then due to numerous circumstances have not touched it for donkeys ages !! now back up and raring but am hitting a HUGE brick wall, so any help would be so appreciated. My dad had a twin born 1910 who sadly died and buried in Ford 1911 that is straight forward and it is a purchased grave, so ok, however when I looked to see who else was in the grave, to my surprise, I found an elderly lady ELLEN NOLAN buried 1893 and a little boy GEORGE EDWARDS buried 1860's not sure off the top of my head exact date, but my question I can not get past is who are they all what is the connection, try as I might and I have, I cannot find the connection, it is driving me insane, any one else searching these families none seem to relate to the other as far as I can see, or any ideas as to why, especially as my uncles is buried 5 graves down from his grandparents who were already taking up space !! any help much appreciated, xxxxxx

In my family, there is one grave in Anfield that was owned by a distant cousin of my mother. When times where hard and my maternal grandfather died at a young age., along with his young son. They let them be buried in the grave to cut costs to the family. Took me ages to find them. So look to the wider family. Good luck

I have a relative at Ford in a private grave with two others. One turned out to be his sister's mother in law's third husband. The other's connection is unknown probably a friend of the family. The grave owner wasn't buried there because they were a different denomination or because they died in Wirral.

It sounds to me like a problem I had, there may be a typographical error.

I'm assuming that you have checked the microfiche at the Liverpool Record Office that lists those in the plot. Have you also done the reverse search and checked the grave number they are all interred in.

The two people you mention are in F661, but have you also checked the Deeds to the grave to see when it was purchased and by who? Have you contacted the office at Ford who will be able to advise whether there is indeed three (or more) people in the same grave.

A possible connection,

George Edwards, buried at Ford 1868, F661 was the child of John Edwards/Jane Going, they had a number of children.
Cecilia Edwards, bn 1856 Liverpool in 1911 was at 18 Shrewsbury Rd West Kirby, RG 14 P21954.

Living with her is Martha Cummins.

The twin in the Ford grave, F661, Margaret can post the name if she wishes, has a mothers maiden name, Cummins.

Belinda Howley - 1960's (My Gt Aunty)
Agnes Howley - 1960's ( " )

Deeds were held by Teresa Woods and Charles Fazakerly in 1878

Been driving me nuts for years - good luck in your research and thanks for inadvertently getting me back on track

Hi Erika, I remember too well, in fact I was thinking of that just recently due to the rugby! Jonny Wilkinson was the man of the day, now it's jonathan Joseph - happy days - !!
