Hi DS,

Yes, I think we have 2 Elizabeth Frances Parsonages! One was born Bristol 1853 and married John Pearch. The other was born Liverpool in 1872 and (eventually) married Christopher Heathcote.

The questions are now.....we know Elizabeth and Christopher had 2 children (Elizabeth & Margaret Ann) before 1901 so where were they in 1901? and where were all 3 children in 1911? and is Lilian Heathcote even the Lilian Heathcote Patton we're after?

The mystery continues.... :?

Thank you all for your suggestions. I need to look at them all carefully, but as Alison says, trying to connect any of these Lillian's to my Lillian Heathcote PATTON will be tricky.

I'm off on holiday for a week now, so will look when I get back, I'll let you know if I find anything more!

A quick update to anyone who helped me 4 years ago.

Thanks to the new GRO index I found no birth details for Lilian Patton in Dec Q 1905, but they did have the Lilian Heathcote birth, MMN Westgate.

Looking back, marriage of Robert Patton and Edith Westgate at St Peter's, Liverpool 25 May 1879. They had several children together including Wilfred Patton, but appear to have separated by 1891 census.

In 1901 and 1911, Edith Patton is at 6, Brownlow Street, Liverpool. In 1911 she has son Wilfred Patton and daughter Lilly Patton, aged 6 (corrected from 16, which is why she did not seem a likely candidate 4 years ago) with her. In both 1901 and 1911, Edith appears to have several boarders with her, unfortunately, none of them Mr Heathcote.

Thank you all once again, Lillian now has her proper place in my family tree.

Margaret
