Hi all, my maternal grandmother is buried in Ford cemetery with her mum and dad and one of her brothers. I know the plot in Section R, nothing there but grass! My question is, her son died in 1942 at the age of 3 weeks. He however is buried in Section SD.
Is there any relevance to this section of the cemetery? I know from an online map where it is and what years of burial it covers, and is there any way to find if there is anyone else in the grave. All his brothers and sisters who survived the poor mite are buried elsewhere. My sister remembers my mum telling her about staying up all night with the coffin in Gonville Road.
Thanks,
John

Re: Ford cemetery query
Both these sections are private but from previous visits there are many private graves without headstones. There will be plot records showing who is buried in each grave and that may help to explain the burial place. Would you like me to provide the plot details for both graves? If so send me a private message with the section and grave numbers and the names of the people concerned and I'll try to obtain the details for you.

Re: Ford cemetery query
Post the details, I can do a Grave Number look up on Tuesday to see who else is buried in the plot.

Re: Ford cemetery query
Thanks for the offer Mary, very much appreciate it, but Blue has very kindly provided the information and given me a lot of head scratching to do!
