We'll be interested to know where they are held, if you track them down.

It looks like, in 2010, the records were still held at the church.

Just to update:

"According to our Register of Deaths I have been able to find the following:

ELINORA POWEL
Died: 9 June, 1920 aged 75 years
From: 99 Guardian Street, WARRINGTON.
Buried: At St Mary's & St John's Cemetery on 12 June, 1920
By: Rev Michael Timmons

Also found as follows:

ANDREW O'CONNOR
Died: 12 April, 1932 aged 65 years.
From: Chester
Buried: 14 April, 1932 at St Mary's & St John's Cemetery.
By: Rev JR Meagher.

Unfortunately these names do not register on our very old list of the Cemetery. But as they are entered in the register they are all buried here.

I will have to do a search in the Cemetery in order to find them if possible, there are a lot of graves which are unnamed but I will try for you."

I didn't hear back so speculate there was no gravestone!

Oh well!

The search for James POWELL continues.
