Ellen Brown b abt1905
Trying to trace an Ellen Brown born abt 1905 in Liverpool. Mother was Margaret Anne Mackin and father was Henry Brown. She was living at 22 Skirving St Scotland Liverpool in the 1911 census. Did she die young or marry? Tried the usual searches but because it is such a common name I have not been able to narrow it down. Can anyone help please.

Thanks Bert, the reason I was wondering is that there are a number of Ellen Brown marriages on LancsBMD which are "Register Office or Registrar Attended", but obviously they are too late to be available online.
I think perhaps those noted as "West Derby" rather than "Liverpool" may perhaps be one of them in the right area and perhaps St Anthony's should be checked. However, I know recent dates are still held at the Church but I don't know what date from.

Try having Brown on both the paternal and maternal side!!alanwalker14 wrote:Trying to trace an Ellen Brown born abt 1905 in Liverpool. Mother was Margaret Anne Mackin and father was Henry Brown. Using the information from the baptism on the 1939 Register may give the right woman. I'm not sure if we're allowed to post transcriptions from the 1939 Register, but if you put the first name 'Ellen', the place 'Liverpool' and the date of birth 08 October 1914, a potential candidate will appear.
This Ellen Brown potentially matches up to a marriage to George Clarke in 1925 - West Derby Register Office or Registrar Attended.

If you type it yourself and not copy and paste, I would consider it your own copyright.Karen wrote: I'm not sure if we're allowed to post transcriptions from the 1939 Register,
Good thinking on the DOB in the 1939 Register.
