Looking for Henry Hughes of Fazakerley

Post by Doc-Bri1 »

Hello Everybody!

I live in Germany but originate from Whitehaven in Cumbria.

My greatgrandfather came from Co Antrim c. 1880 to Whitehaven - hence me!

My greatgrandfather had a brother who lived in Belfast and his son came to Liverpool c. 1939 (or before that date).

His name was Henry Hughes and he lived at 1 Forth Avenue, Fazakerly, Liverpool.

This is as much as I know: anybody help? Much appreciated!!

Hi Brian,
A most basic search on Ancestry suggests that there could be a load of information on your family. Maybe some of it is yours and you're trying to fill the gaps? Otherwise you may just be lucky to find it so readily available!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

A search of the births to this couple doesn't show any results so they may have been childless. Luckily the 1939 Register was taken before his death, giving the clue to his marriage. There doesn't appear to be a Probate entry, so presumably he didn't leave a Will.

You could check for the Grave Number, should be held at the Record Office, and see if there is anybody else buried in the plot.
