I know this is a very old post, but .......
I have my great grandmother born Gascoyne St Liverpool c 1848 to 50. She is on 1851 census aged 2. All her older siblings were baptised at St Peter's but the Lancs OPC goes up to 3 July 1848 and starts again in Jan 1850. Had she been baptised in that gap??? are these records missing???? or are they available in LRO ???? She was not registered either OH Dear
Thanks Lynne
There are baptisms on Ancestry for St Peters for 1848, 49, 50, 51, 52. Hopefully one of those years should include a birth for the years you are looking for

Mary Jane Howard - Father Richard Howard, mother Elizabeth Nee Cowley
1851 census 60 Gascoyne Street aged 2 so I presume she must have been born 1848 to 1850.
I have sent for birth certificates, Mary and Mary Jane, to no avail, always got my money back.
She lived in Gascoyne street all her life, until she died 1935 (May)
Siblings
William 1836
Joseph 1838
Richard 1840
George 1842
Sarah Ellen 1846
Mary Jane
Margaret 1851.
I have been searching for years and as it is after 1837 I thought I could find some evidence of her birth, but NO LUCK
If you have any brain waves that would be so lovely.
PS I have brought this up before on your really helpful site, but things do change don't they.
Hi Mary J died in Gascoyne St. What was her married name please, i'll look in Directories.

Thanks Tina. She married Richard Harrison in 18655 and they lived at 34 Gascoyne St as house and shop. I have lots of info about her but not her birth. Her mother Mary Harrison nee Wharton was a catholic , so that is why I think the girls might have been baptised catholic, but I can't find that either.

Oops
Mary Jane Howard's mother was Elizabeth Cowley and father Richard Howard. Her mother in law (Richard Harrison's mother) was Mary Harrison a catholic. Must have had a headache sorry.

When you say you have searched have you scrolled through all the entries for each year? I had a marriage not the long ago that wasn't indexed but it was certainly there scrolling through the years.
p.s. edited to add that it looks like I didn't need to do that much scrolling as I had the date from LAN OPC
