Help to read Inquest entry please

Post by MaryA »

I'm totally befuddled with the words of this entry, any help to read please. As it is an entry in the Coroner's Inquest there is no more than just the one line, although I will probably have to take more time next week to find the newspaper entry. The heading over the column is "Finding of the Jury"

I've left some of the other lines above and below for comparison with handwriting but the one I'm interested in is the 4th line down

...... & ......... by hot ........ after heavy meal.

Thank you

....hot bath after heavy meal??

A quick search of the BNA shows a few deaths by having a hot bath after a heavy meal!

Is the word before "by" "accel" - short for accelerated? "...accelerated by hot bath after heavy meal."
