Does anyone have access to kellys directory for 1930's?

Hi and welcome to the forum. You could check here http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... 16&t=13794 to see which directories are held by some of our forum members, the nearest appears to be 1938, otherwise I think you would need to visit the Record Office (3rd Floor William Brown Street Library) where the other years should be held on microfilm.

Thanks for your help. I am trying to trace the where abouts of Edward&Ellen Pitchford (sometimes spelt Pitchforth)
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Deb nothing in 1938 Directory under either name.
Do you have an address?
There's an Edward Pitchford who married in 1911 4th qtr Lpool.
spouse Ellen Marsden.
Could this be him??

If you are trying to find Pitchfords....

From the 1910+1 census:
Address: 21 SHAWS ALLEY, LIVERPOOL
EDWARD PITCHFORD - NEPHEW u/m 22 1889 Bakers' labourer - Liverpool.
JHOS HOWLEY HEAD 1881 30 Coal dealer - LIVERPOOL

Then found Births Sep 1888: PITCHFORD, Edward - Liverpool 8b 84

And this death is almost certain to be him. Age is out by only a year, not at all unusual:
Deaths Mar 1961: PITCHFORD, Edward [72] - Liverpool N. 10d 381

The death cert will give you his home address and the name/relationship of the informant together with their address.

I believe this to be his wife's death so similar useful information could be gleaned from this death cert...
