Hi All

I have corresponded with dickiesam who advises i put my information onto the forum to see if anybody can help
Original question to dickiesam was. What chance is there of myself tracing back any further ancestor who say they are from Ireland. The Information i've halted at is with a Patrick Welsh/Walsh born 1845
The information i have is as follows

Born apx 1845 Ireland
Died apx 1887 Liverpool

Marriage 5/3/1866 Mary McCormick St Anthony’s Church, Liverpool
Address Wright Street, Liverpool
Parents Patrick Welsh and Michael and Mary McCormick
Witness Michael Slatery?(spelling) and Bridget Scahill

Possible parents Patrick and Ann Walsh logged on St Anthony’s Church Books for marriage.

Sorry I haven't got anything to add to the search but I just thought you might like to know that I did a double-take when I saw the name of one of the witnesses to the wedding - it's my daughter's name! If it's any help, the name Scahill is thought to be from County Cavan.

Talking about Bridget Scahill i was wondering if she was Patricks sister now married but again with many searches unable to find a marriage between a Bridget Walsh and a Scahill so if any one has any thoughts can you let me know.
