3 years ago this month I posted some lists of soldiers from Liverpool and SW Lancs area who were taken POW. This list was published in the Liverpool Evening Express and from the date of my first posting I have been indexing these lists ever since. At times I would wonder? why am I doing this and along the way I have nearly gave up, but I soldiered on and I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have work to do on this Project but to say the hard part is nearly over is a relief. I am posting the names of the first soldiers from our area to be released after the signing of the Armistice. Should anyone wish to use any of the entries for their own research, all I ask is, please acknowledge the source and ask me.
