"DEAD" OFFICER COMES TO LIFE-Evening Express-13th June 1918
For more than two months Lieut. Henry Derbyshire, K.L.R., a former school teacher at St. Luke's Boy's School, Great Crosby, has been believed to have been killed in action. He was officially reported killed on March 24th, and a memorial service was held at St. Luke's Church.
Now it turns out that he is not dead. Within the last few days friends in Great Crosby have received with mingled surprise and joy, a postcard from him stating that he is "still in the land of the living" a prisoner in the hands of the Germans.
