I found two burial entries in the Record Search Pilot that interested me, however there were no graveyards/cemeteries specified. As we no longer have an LDS Centre in Liverpool I thought I would need to check the registers at the Liverpool Record Office but had no idea where to look. I wrote to the LDS and was sent the following information which I thought would be useful to share.
The example given in their reply is one of those I sent my query about.
The records are part of an index that was formed many years ago when volunteers extracted the information from microfilms found in our library. The film numbers from which they extracted the information are listed in the record details.
To find the details of these records, you will need to do a film/fiche number search in our catalog. First, go to http://www.familysearch.org , and put your mouse on the library tab. Choose "Library Catalog" from the pull down menu. Click on the blue "Film/Fiche Search" tab. Type the film number (396382) into the box and click on search. Click on the blue title link. You can now see the title of the film - Church register, 1804-1894, the author of the record - Catholic Church. St. Anthony's Chapel (Liverpool, Lancashire) and other information about this film. Click on the "View Film Notes" button in the upper right hand corner and you can see each film from this title and what is contained on the film.
Your first record referenced film number 396382, which contains Burials 1859-1894. The second record referenced film number 396385, which contains Register of vaults 1833-1871 Register of graves 1833-1875. While both of these film numbers are from the same group of records, you can see why the information extracted could be different if coming from a Register of graves than if it were coming from Burial records.
There is no way to know by viewing the information in the catalog, what other details might be included in the original film images. If you would like to order and view any of these microfilms, you can do so at a local family history center. To find a family history center near you, go to the home page of www.familysearch.org , look near the bottom of the page for the box labeled "Find a Family History Center." Enter your state and click on "Search." If you get too many results for your area, you can do an advanced search and enter the name of your county and state and do a search. Scroll through the listings to find a center near to you. Be sure to call before visiting to confirm the hours the center is open.
We are not sure why the name of the church does not appear in the indexed information. Hopefully in the future it will be possible to add this information to the database.
