Anfield Cemetery Records 1939-1947 Military

Post by Katie »

I have today been given the index for all Military Personnel Buried at Anfield during WW2. The owner has given me permission to copy it. It is the original register from the cemetery which had been tossed in a skip along with other numerous registers/ledgers etc and they were rescued by a friend of mine.

If anyone wants me to do a look up to see if any names are mentioned let me know. Some of the details give Regiment and number of the soldier.

Where was the skip, I wonder. Seems like official vandalism, even if the contents had been fully transcribed. Good work by the finder.
