They hold Inquest Registers of the Wirral. You need to provide a name and date of death or at least the relevant quarter of the year in question.
Under a half hour free search they will look up the inquest and provide the result. They can email this to you. If there is an image there is a charge of £5 to send by post or 50p if you collect. (The registers are not open to the public). Due to how busy they are there can be a 10 day wait.

However, they also have the actualnewspapers there which are available to the public. If you wish to view just ring the day before so that they can have them ready.

Wirral Archives are open Mon-Fri 9.30 - 4.30 and don't close for lunch.

From my conversation with them it sounded a researcher friendly place! :D
