You can get large copies of anything you wish (you would have to set the paper size) - I got A1 copies of some leather working plans (my other hobby) for about £3.00 each - cheaper than photocopying - from my nearest Staples branch. For 10 copies it's reduced to £2.80. Just take the file on CD / usb key / whatever and they will print it there and then.

I live in rural Ireland, so no Staples, but we have some very bright and with-it printers. A pal of mine who uses Brother's Keeper had a major family/clan gathering last summer. After pondering the options for a big tree display he put a gedcom file onto a flash drive and went to a local small print-shop. After a little experimentation by the printer, for a very reasonable cost he got a set of printed trees on A0 [46" x 33"], and he even got the cardboard storage tubes for his clan members to take their copy home without folding it.
