Below, in no order, is a sample of what is in the some of the Infant and Junior registers – these are what I’ve abstracted from them about my family. I didn’t have time to look at other records so I’ll have to make another visit to see the log books, odd photos, punishment book and so on while I’m back in England. I’m wondering if anyone would be interested if I were to type out some of the names listed on the pages I had photocopied and post them here?. It's been done before I think? Then if any name resonates, just contact me and I'll give all the details for the name you might be interested in. It won’t be quick and it will be very sporadic and I may never finish…. but at the moment I have some time…..see below for examples of what information there is.

Where are the Admissions registers held?

Apparently still held by the school.

I hope so, I believe much of our transcribed data is useful, even if not to others then maybe somebody googling may find the entry and make a connection with the poster.

The records are almost complete from when the school opened in 1904 and the caretaker Mr Gillespie is very helpful and interested in preserving the records. I recently made arrangements to visit and see if I could find information on a number of boys who were on the WW1 Memorial at the school. I had been unable to confirm their names through other sources and I was able to find their addresses, DOB and fathers names in most of the cases. I was then able to find most of the missing names.
